About this artwork
"Mounting Ground" is a watercolor that I painted in the technique of watercolor on raw paper. This technique requires the artist to be quick because the working time is related to the drying of the paper. As long as the paper remains wet, you can work freely, but after it dries, it is no longer pliable to work with. Thus, the time available to create the painting is limited. This painting depicts the process of assembling a huge walking excavator with a car in the bucket. The painting is done in golden yellow tones. The size of the work is 70 by 90. It was written in 1984 in the city of Magnitogorsk. Read more in editorial files.
